THE DREAM

You probably looked at the price and wondered if I was serious. I am.

This is the painting that inspired the rest of the collection.

After walking away from a twenty-year career in comedy, the thing I thought would define me forever, I was left with grief, questions and a blank canvas. This was the first piece that gave me hope again. The first moment I felt that maybe the way I see the world could help me rebuild something of my own.

When I look at this, I see colour finding its way out of darkness. That’s what dreaming really is.

I priced it this way because I don’t want to let it go easily. But putting a price on it asks something bigger:

- What is the price of your dreams?
- What have you let go of to survive?
- And what would it take to start again?
