hi, my name is Chris
Welcome to my website, and if you’ve reached the part of your day where reading about me feels like a good use of your time, I’m glad you’re here.

I was born in Coatbridge and somehow ended up spending most of my adult life in entertainment. I started out as a Butlins Redcoat in Ayr, graduated to being a Thomas Cook hotel entertainer on sunny islands around Europe, and eventually found myself travelling the world as a stand-up comedian. I wrote, produced and performed shows like Around the World in 80 Dates — which sold out at the Edinburgh, Perth and Adelaide Fringe — and Balloonatics, a family show that picked up an award nomination along the way.
Then 2020 arrived, and like most people, I had a bit more time than usual to think. Lockdown had a way of asking uncomfortable questions. For me, it was about what I actually wanted my life to look like. I didn’t want to spend six months of the year living out of a suitcase anymore. I wanted to be closer to my family. I wanted something steadier. So the joke book went back on the shelf, and started exploring other creative outlets.
Since then, I've not been able to stop. From finger painting on old IKEA frames, to pouring litres of paint on canvases over a metre in height, to smashing together my love for Scotland and Geek culture for my LOCH NERDS prints.
What's the connection between comedy and what I'm doing now? both are about giving something of yourself away.
Comedy taught me that the real magic isn’t in being seen, it’s in making someone else feel something. A laugh. A release. A moment of connection. Painting feels the same. Yes, I create because I love it, and of course my ego enjoys a compliment. But the deeper reward is knowing something I made now lives in someone else’s home — becoming part of their space, their story, their life.
That’s the shift. It’s not about applause anymore. It’s about contribution.
If something here speaks to you, supporting my work isn’t just buying a piece of art. It’s choosing to carry that connection home with you.
let’s create something unmistakably yours
