I wanted to explore the feeling of looking at a horizon for peace, but with more contrast.

The darker blue and uneven horizon hint at the depth and danger of the ocean. It’s easy to lose yourself if you look down for too long.

The sky holds more colour and takes up more of the canvas for a reason. It’s a reminder to keep your head up. To focus on light and possibility rather than the pull beneath you.

These were made as a pair, but they stand on their own just as easily.
