ICY HUES OF BLUE

Someone once said to me, “You should paint something like your eyes. Icy hues of blue.”

So I did.

I wasn’t trying to paint a landscape or a scene. I wanted to capture the sharp, cool clarity you find in ice through colour alone. The layered blues shift as you move past it, catching the light and changing in tone.
